Some benefits of using Quick Fork

easy work with quick fork

Protect your back and spine

Working with Quick Fork is easy. Unlike with other tools, there is no need to constantly bend over and strain your muscles. Work becomes safer by using less force.

breaking down and preserving soil life

Break down the soil into fine lumps

The work is done in dry conditions, when the soil is still moist, but does not stick to your boots or tools. After loosening the soil, level it with a rake and begin to sow or plant.

Quick Fork

good for ground and preserving the soil life

Preserve soil life

Loosening is better than digging, because it does not harm the microorganisms and other animals in the soil.

less weed in the garden

Reduce weeds

In the ‘no-dig’ garden, we don’t use a shovel or a motorised tiller, since this turns the soil over and propagates weed roots (field bindweed, creeping thistle, ...).

thriving vegetables

Help vegetables thrive

Due to optimally prepared soil, the quality of crops increase, plants grow stronger and the structure of the soil improves. Planted seeds have a greater chance of germination and growing roots. On the picture: chicory seedlings in soil that was loosened with Quick Fork and later covered with straw.

healthy crop

Experience abundant fertility and a healthier crop

Before planting and sowing, deeply loosen the soil to help air and water permiate. Don’t forget to fertilize it with compost, manure or purchased organic fertilizers, which provides the plants with appropriate nutrients.

How to correctly use Quick Fork

No need to lift the tool, just pull it back gently.

select the area of soil preparation

1. Select the area to work on

Working with Quick Fork is simple. Select the cultivation area and place your foot on the top of the stepping part.

push quickfork into the ground

2. Push the fork into the ground

The procedure is the same for soft or hard soil. The sharp steel fork penetrates the ground with ease.

pull the handle of quickfork back

3. Pull the wooden handle down to loosen the soil

Pull the handle with one or two hands (if the soil is harder). By grabbing less soil, the work becomes easier. Loosening the soil will have a positive effect on the organisms living in the soil.

pull the tool back and repeat

4. Pull Quick Fork towards you and repeat

It is important that you don´t lift the tool as this makes the job harder. You simply pull it back towards you on the ground and repeat the process.

Frequently asked questions

A few answers to your most common questions.

Quick Fork is also suitable for cultivating heavy, clay-like soil. It is best to cultivate this type of soil when it is moist, but not so much that it forms larger lumps or that it sticks to your footwear or garden tools.
Compost and farm-animal manure decompose over the winter, so it is best to add them to the soil in the spring, when the soil is prepped and aerated for sowing and planting. Brick fertilisers can also be added to the soil during this time in the same way.
Absolutely! Quick Fork makes our work easier, faster and gets the work done properly. The design of the tool enables force to be transferred to the wooden handle, while the pitchfork enables us to break down the soil, without turning it over. It is important that we don’t lift the tool, but only pull it back when using it. This way we use less force and let the tool do the work for us.
The tool is made of quality and durable steel. Its precise workmanship guarantees high quality. With proper use, the tool will serve you for many years. Quick Fork is designed so that the welds don’t crack or break. When cultivating the soil, avoid larger roots or stones in the ground as they could damage or bend the forks.
Quick Fork is also suitable for people with less strength, women and people with back problems. The tool should be used by pulling (not lifting it). It is also pushed into the ground with our foot and not our upper-body strength. The wooden handle acts as a lever, which allows us to cultivate all types of soil, even harder soil.

How to assemble Quick Fork?
